Applying for Financial Aid

Once you have submitted an application to Western Iowa Tech and registered in an eligible program, you can apply for financial aid. There are several categories of financial aid, and you'll want to be sure you apply for everything you are eligible for to get what you need to attend WITCC.

  1. Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) will be your first point of business. You can apply for the FAFSA online. If you would like to come to the campus and fill it out, our financial aid office can assist you in the process. Deadlines and other information are posted on the FAFSA website. WITCC's Federal School Code is 004590.
  2. Get Adobe Reader Scholarships are available through various agencies and have different criteria. Check to see what might be available to you. You can download and print a pdf scholarship application or stop in and pick one up from the financial aid office.
  3. Work study is another way to receive financial aid. There are a number of jobs in the college available to students through the work study program. These jobs vary in duties and responsibilities, and are flexible to work with your class schedule. The number of hours you can work will depend on your financial aid eligibility, so work with the financial aid office.
