Commercial Construction The College has a two-prong approach in assisting commercial construction companies. First, it will provide short-term training for individuals interested in going to work in commercial construction. Typically, we work with a construction company who has identified a need to hire skilled employees. We then train individuals and make referrals to companies. This training is typically very short lasting only a few weeks. Secondly, the College works with industry groups such as Master Builders of Iowa, the Iowa Ready Mixed Concrete Association, and others to bring specific task training to northwest Iowa. We recently held a concrete certification course that had over twenty students. We are in the process of putting together a masonry program.
